Goose, as he is known around Leamington & Wheatley, had a very successful playing career through the 90s, including multiple OMHA & OHF Championships during his minor hockey days in Southpoint, while also winning a Schmalz Cup Championship with the Belle River Canadiens of the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League.
Goose also was drafted by the Plymouth Whalers of the OHL, and played for the Sharks as a 16 yr old in 1997-98 season. Unfortunately, an injury sidelined him the following year, and mid year he joined the Belle River Canadiens blueline. After winning a Schmalz Cup, he headed up north to play Jr. A hockey in Thunder Bay of the SIJHL. When his playing days were over, Goose began his coaching career by becoming the Defense coach for his Thunder Bay Jr A team.
Returning home to raise a family, Goose worked tirelessly with local minor hockey programs in Southpoint at various age groups. Most recently guiding the blueline for the Midget Major group in 2016-17, helping lead them to a Bluewater Championship.
The Sharks are extremely excited to have Goose guiding the blueline, his knowledgebase, and communication skills will complement the staff currently assembled.
